ABOUT US

We work across the communities of Lawrence Weston, Shirehampton and Avonmouth in North West Bristol. We have a radical and genuinely distinctive vision of community, seeking to reconnect people to each other and to the services they need. The hub is actively engaged in creating a community that is characterised by trust, safety, cohesion, mutual support, vibrancy, health and opportunity, where individuals feel included, connected and supported and in which they feel happy and proud to live.

To achieve all this, we develop grassroots projects with local residents, building on existing strengths to meet local need. You can find out more about our projects here.

ABOUT OASIS

Oasis is a movement of volunteers, activists and professionals that works in 36 communities across the UK. Through our integrated ‘community hub model’, we seek to create a new sense of neighbourhood, because we believe that when a community comes together, everyone, regardless of their background and starting point can reach their God-given potential.

Oasis is a global family which collectively works around the world delivering a range of projects and services that help tackle social injustice in whatever form it manifests itself. Read more on the Oasis UK website.

We are united by two core beliefs: that every human being is of equal worth and that each of us can only flourish when we are part of a thriving community. We have a radical and genuinely distinctive vision of community, seeking to reconnect people to each other and to the services they need. Motivated by the life, message and example of Jesus, we are committed to Inclusion, equality, healthy relationships, hope and perseverance and this permeates all aspects of the life and culture of our Hubs.
